Battery Packs for Defence Robotics

Unmanned defence platforms need power systems built to a different standard of accountability: ruggedised for field abuse, documented for procurement, and made in India for programmes where supply-chain origin matters.

The Engineering Challenge

What defence robotics demands from a battery

A defence robot's battery has two customers: the platform that runs on it in the field, and the procurement organisation that must trust, trace and audit it. Most commercial packs satisfy neither.

Environment

Field conditions, not lab conditions

Desert heat, high-altitude cold, monsoon humidity, transport shock and rough handling between missions. The pack's mechanical and thermal design must assume the worst week of deployment, not the average one.

Reliability

Mission abort is not an option

A pack that browns out during an EOD approach or strands a recon platform forward of the operator is a mission failure. Protection logic must distinguish real faults from load transients, and fail predictably when it must.

Accountability

Procurement needs paperwork, not promises

Defence programmes need to know which cells went into which pack, what tests it passed and where every component came from. A battery without documentation is a battery a programme office can't accept.

Sovereignty

Origin is part of the specification

Indigenous content requirements are now written into defence procurement. An imported catalogue pack can disqualify a platform; a pack designed and built in India strengthens the bid.

Built Around Your Platform

Engineered for the platform and the programme

We design for two audiences at once: the vehicle that needs power under stress, and the programme office that needs evidence behind every pack.

Ruggedised construction

Damped cell mounting, reinforced interconnects, potted electronics and sealed enclosures engineered for transport shock and field handling.

Low-signature electronics

BMS and power electronics designed with EMI discipline for platforms carrying sensitive communications and sensor payloads.

Extreme-temperature design

Cell selection and thermal architecture for genuine −30 °C cold starts and +60 °C soak, validated, not just quoted from a cell datasheet.

Documentation by default

Every pack ships with test records and batch-level component traceability: the paperwork your quality and procurement teams will ask for.

Qualification support

We design and test to support your platform's acceptance and qualification programme, and iterate with your trials feedback.

Indigenous design & build

Engineered and manufactured in India, supporting indigenous-content requirements and giving your programme a supplier it can audit in person.

Engineering Depth

Built for programmes that verify, not just trust

field_envelope

Load and environment profiling from your platform's actual mission set: burst currents, silent watch, transport and storage conditions.

stress_testing

Mechanical and thermal stress evaluation of the pack design before it reaches your trials, so surprises happen in our lab, not your field evaluation.

iteration

Design revisions tracked and documented across your platform's development cycle. The pack evolves with the programme, on record.

traceability

Cell-lot records, build documentation and end-of-line test data retained per pack, available to your quality organisation.

Where These Packs Run

Defence platforms we engineer for

Hazard

EOD & IED-disposal robots

High-burst, compact packs for manipulator platforms where a power interruption is unacceptable.

ISR

Surveillance & recon UGVs

Long-endurance packs with silent-watch capability for platforms observing far forward of the operator.

Tactical

Tactical & logistics UGVs

High-capacity packs for load-carrying and route-proving ground platforms in extreme environments.

Perimeter

Sentry & border-security systems

Deep-cycle packs for unmanned systems on persistent watch at remote and high-altitude posts.

Maritime

Underwater defence robotics

Sealed subsea packs for maritime security platforms. See underwater robotics packs →

Dev

Defence R&D programmes

Prototype packs for DRDO-ecosystem, iDEX and defence-startup platform development, built to scale into production.

Why Revogreen

A development partner, not a parts supplier

Defence platform development runs on iteration and evidence. We work as the power-system partner inside that loop, engineering directly with your team, documenting as we go.

Direct engineering access

Your engineers talk to our pack designers, not a sales layer. Requirement discussions happen in volts, amps and millimetres.

Prototype-friendly MOQs

We build packs in ones and tens for development, then scale the same design into production.

Designed & made in India

Local engineering, local manufacturing, local support. Short iteration loops and a supply chain your programme can actually visit.

Full power ecosystem

Beyond the pack: chargers, smart-battery telemetry and monitoring from one partner, so your power system is designed as a whole.

How We Work

From requirement to production pack

Requirement

Share your platform's power budget, envelope, duty cycle and environment, under NDA where needed.

Design

Cell selection, pack architecture, BMS configuration and mechanical design proposed against your spec.

Prototype & validate

Working packs on your platform for field trials; design iterated on real mission data.

Production

Repeatable manufacture with cell QC, end-of-line testing and batch traceability.
